Source separating systems

SwedEnviro carries out a range of services connected with wastewater treatment, ranging from project outlines and sourcing of funds, to planning and advisory sevices, to design, project management and evaluations.

Understenshöjden in Stockholm is an"eco-village", completed in 1995. The wastewater system, with urine separation and local wastewater treatment, has provided new experience for example through the evaluation carried out under our managemant. For furher information please contact Verna Ecology.

Hammarby Sjöstad Stockholm's new town-district, where environmental and ecological principles in a new way have guided the design and planning of the district. We have contributed with sevices and documentation on source-separating sanitary systems. For further information, please contact Verna Ecology.

A household in Svedden, in the municipality of Östhammar, has one of Sweden's oldest systems with double-flushing, urine-separating toilets. We designed the system and have participated in the follow-up.

Köpingebro, is a home for elderly people with black-water separation, constructed in 1993, where we designed the water and wastewater systems. For further information on Svedden and Köpingebro, please contact WRS Uppsala AB.

SwedEnviro has since the introduction of the concept source-separating wastewater systems, participated in a number of R&D projects on urine and black-water separation. Our specific competence in this area has been utilised by many municipalities, "eco-villages" and companies in planning and construction of housing projects. We have carried out customer adapted workshops on recycling wastewater systems. During these workshops, lectures are mixed with practical sessions to give the participants an understanding of the planning and design process of recycling wastewater systems. These workshops have been carried out primarily for the housing sector in Sweden.
